MELT-BANANA: new music and tour
Posted by Amy Steele in Music on September 29, 2013
High-octave futuristic speed metal/ grindcore duo from Tokyo. Not cutesy bubble gum pop but instead the duo of singer Yako and guitarist Agata creates intriguing, complicated staccato songs. Think sake shots, glitter, bright lights & Hello Kitty. This is music I can imagine in a spinning class and definitely seeing live. The duo’s 10th album, fetch, provides a 33-minute adrenaline rush. Melt-Banana [one of the best band names] hits the road on a North American tour on October 16.
