Today, Macy Gray announced her “All I Want For Christmas” initiative: a CrowdRise fundraiser benefiting A Place Called Home Foundation. Lyrics include: “Everything I’m hoping for is intangible, like free healthcare and gun control.
A Place Called Home is a community youth center located in South Los Angeles, which is one of the most impoverished communities of the city. The agency is a jewel to the community, serving over 300 youth ages 8-20 daily and provides free programming in music, art, dance, fitness, gardening, nutrition, digital media education, onsite adult education, high school tutoring and counseling to all members and their families.
These services are offered free of charge to those in need and from today, Grammy Award winning artist Macy Gray is asking you to donate $10 or more to help give others a better Christmas this year.
