TV: L&O: Criminal Intent returns with new cast onboard

Two-part season opener to feature departure of long time cast members Emmy Award nominee Vincent D’Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe and Eric Bogosian

Guest stars include: Tracy Pollan, Dan Lauria, Ralph Macchio, Dan Butler and William Mapother

Shot entirely in and around New York City, the third installment of the “Law & Order” franchise takes viewers deep into the minds of its criminals while following the intense psychological approaches the Major Case Squad uses to solve its crimes.

SAG Award nominee Saffron Burrows [The Guitar] stars as Detective Serena Stevens– a highly educated, worldly single parent with a broad range of life experiences to draw upon in solving even the toughest of cases. Serena’s partner is Detective Zach Nichols [Jeff Goldblum]the two of them create a partnership of challenging intellect and street-smart savvy. Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio joins the cast as Captain Zoe Callas who comes to MAJOR CASE SQUAD from Internal Affairs.

    The show can only get a big approval from the majority of viewers with a new cast in place. The departed characters were abusive, violent and frankly they lacked credibility. Cops do not act like they did. They were causing stress and repulsion to the fans of Law & Order. Good riddance.

    TV shows’ purpose is to entertain, not to abuse the audiences. We still had the original show which is the biggest winner & the most entertaining of them all.
